Classes & Jams

All TBC classes are inclusive spaces where absolutely everyone is welcome. We run one-off classes, courses, and host international guest teachers. At all of them we will stand and move a lot, play games and laugh.

Our courses and classes have 2 defining numbers. The first number defines the level.

• 100 series - Introductory

• 200 series - Intermediate

• 300 series - Advanced

• 400 series - Specialised

• 500 level - Coaching

Then the 01, 02, 03 etc. defines the type of class.

• 101 Intro to Improv (building blocks)

• 102 Intro to Shortform

• 103 Intro to Longform

All class listings state pre-requisites. We suggest that you be able to attend at least 75% of the classes in a course.

We use a few different venues, all very central in each city. In Edinburgh: Summerhall is our home base, but check each class listing for specific more. In Hong Kong: Classes are on HK Island. Usually we're at the Fringe in Central, or at a venue in Sheung Wan. In Barcelona: You'll usually find us at The BCN Studio, Teatre de l'Enjòlit, or RAI.

English fluency is not required. However, all of our classes and shows are in English. You can be fluent, or on a learning journey. Some people even come to improv to work on their English and speaking confidence. All are welcome!

For adult classes we require all participants to be aged 16+. For kids classes, we clearly list the age range.
